Introduction
The International Students Conference (ISC) is a dynamic and collaborative event that transcends discussions about the future of living with the existence of AI. Navigating the ethical use of AI that is embedded in everyday life to ensure localized solutions for a just, inclusive, and sustainable society. ISC 2026 supports the 16th Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) concerning inclusive societies to sustainable development and providing access to justice by emphasizing the role of youth, students, and local communities in shaping ethical and responsible uses of AI that address both global challenges and local realities.
The focus of this conference extends beyond formal education to encompass the entire learning process as ISC 2026 focuses on innovation, ethics, and impacts in living with AI for all. This means exploring how learning happens in various contexts—inside and outside the classroom, through technology, in communities, and across different cultures.
One of the core tenets of the conference is recognizing youth as central actors in shaping the future of AI. By positioning young people as critical thinkers, innovators, and advocates, the conference aligns with 9th SDG (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), 10th SDG (Reduced Inequalities), and the 16th SDG (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). The conference also builds on partnerships with key stakeholders including European Union in Indonesia, Sahabat AI within GoTo Group, and Institut Français Indonesia (IFI) which underlines the value of multilateral collaboration in developing responsible and inclusive digital futures.
The conference also embodies collective commitment within the International Network of Universities (INU), as the conference focuses on actionable outcomes and encourages participants to take concrete steps towards digital reform through global engagement.
With these considerations in mind, the conference is designed to provide transformative and insightful experiences, aimed at cultivating change agents that are globally engaged and socially responsible as they are capable of addressing global and local challenges to ensure a future development.
